Official Complaints
There are basic rules in force (laws no. 37/1993) that pertain specifically to public administration. Their role is to ensure a public administration that is based on principles of fairness and equality. These basic rules apply to case procedures used by the Treasury's collection agencies, as well as by other public authorities.
It is possible to appeal decisions of collection agencies by making an official administration complaint to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs . The complaint must be made within three months from the time at which the collection agency's decision was made.
